My surge band is breaking in the back right next to/ along side the screws. Has anyone else had this issue? Are there replacement bands out there?

My surge is now 2 years old and held together with gorilla tape because of the same problem. If you are in warranty contact them and get it replaced because finding parts to fix it yourself seems impossible.

Already contacted them and have received a replacement surge. Still not satisfied in how this all went down. A replacement band or a better product needs robbery developed or people will quickly go somewhere else.

I got them to send me a replacement surge. They did not want to buy finally did. Still not 100% happy as this will occur with the replacement item.

So again Fitbit, when are you going to replace mine. Three Surges in 16 months and now I am stuck with a $250 piece?

Happened to me. Just finished a conversation with support. The band is not replaceable, and outside the warranty, the only option is buy a new one. They offered me a 25% discount!

This is disgraceful design. It is obvious that the band will wear and break.

I purchased my surge in fall 2015 and my band is also breaking at the screws.  Seems crazy - I don't abuse it, just normal use, it should not be breaking down in this way.  Also my green pulse light has just stopped working, so no heart rate monitor now.  Tried restarting, etc. Am def thinking of an Apple Watch now!  This is not good.

@NateC44 @kttaylor  Replacement bands are available from AliExpress.  Plenty of videos on YouTube to show you how to do it.  Around 20$ USD, inluding the TORX screwdriver needed to replace it.  Beats throwing a perfectly good Tracker in the bin and way cheaper than a new tracker even with FitBit's discount.

a google search found this supplier. I got one and fitted it. It does the job, arrived in about three weeks, and cost about $20.
