Surge band torn

My entire family competes on fitbit comps and has a wonderful time, until over normal wear and tear my surge band tears.  Many people I know have had the exact same problems with their bands shortly after warranty ends. I am disappointed because now I will no longer be able to use my fitbit on my travel abroad and share challenges with my family across the world. Fitbit I had hoped for more from a brand I would hope supported long term customers.

I'm really sorry but warranties are there for a reason.

Same happens with big appliances.  They wont replace after a while. Fitbits is no different.

@Yellow1234. If the band for the Surge is the only problem then Amazon has aftermarket replacements. About $20 USD. Check out YouTube for the "How to" videos first to see if it's something you or a friend can do. Good luck. Thanks @WendyB for the constructive observation, comments and positivity. A. H.

This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never buy from fitbit again. I would love to continue to use this product, but when reaching out to customer service they were horrendous. They were rude, scripted, extremely unhelpful, and when speaking to a manager he was very unprofessional. @WendyB, as the title indicates this thread is about the customer service experience not warranties. I'm sure @Yellow1234 knows how warranties work.
