Surge bands continue to bubble

I'm on my 4th surge, the first one had the rubber wearing off exposing the plastic underneath.  The next two had the famous bubble problem, wow, customer service is kind of great.  Replaced the first one, had to buy a second one with a discount and finally have the last one as a replacement.  But build quality and continued problem with this band, wish it was replaceable, leads me to another brand if this surge does the same thing.  Wonder what type of quality control or engineering effort is or has gone into fixing this band problem I love the gps on the surge as I'm a long distant runner and it's easier then having to carry a phone but if this surge goes I'll finally have to throw in the towel, very frustrated with this company.  If someone that is influential in this company is reading this, fix this or else you will be another failed institute that people will say

So, it seems like i'm not the only one with this problem. wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to pay me back the purchase price and forget that i've ever bought a surge ?

I bought my Surge two years ago and had no problem with the band. Unfortunately the electronics failed. I was sent a warranty replacement. Within three months the band was separating. I was sent another replacement. Within three months it was separating and within six months failed completely. I have two friends who bought Surges on my recommendation after my first one was replaced but before I had band problems. Both have had the bands separate  Did something change in the manufacturing process within the last two years? Running season is starting again and I don't have a GPS watch. I like my One and Flex2. But my friends and I are wary of buying a Surge.

@JBShack The best way to make an informed decision would be to get an overall view of the Surge. If you have the time, check out the Surge Forum to see what other users think. Good luck.

Just to let you know I really love the blaze it's just a silly thing that
these bands don't hold up. I really wish that they would get fixed.

I think I went through 5 or 6 Surges in less than two years due to bubbling bands - crazy since the units themselves were absolutely fine! Other than the band issues and occasional GPS problems, it was a fabulous watch. Fitbit's new trackers all have replaceable bands - I wonder why 😉
