Anyone else have an issue with the **ahem** charger cable for the Surge, it's the most infuriating thing in the world EVER, it just wont stay in. If a butterfly flaps its wings on Mars, the cable falls out. I managed to get it to stay in for a few seconds by placing a brick either side of the cable, but my cat farted and out it came. My phone and tablet chargers keep pointing and laughing at the it, I'd not be surprised if it's topped itself before I get home.
HELP!
Chillipepper.

Looking on line, it seems to be a major issue/design flaw. I either need a new cable, or it'll have to go back.

It's not a great piece of design. My first Surge a similar problem. It didn't actually fall out but the connection was so poor charging was unreliable. To their credit Fitbit sent me a repacement tracker and that one works OK - as long as I'm careful how I position it when plugged in to charge.

Yes, I've had continued problems with the cable/Surge connection since purchase. The cable will "snap" into the Surge but if I don't position the Surge the proper way, it will fall out. Ridiculous! Why they didn't use a standard micro USB cable is beyond me. I'm anxious to hear FB's response to your concern. Please keep us posted if provided a solution or FB contacts you. Did you exercise the warranty option posted above?

@Roller22 the charger is the long cable, with the ISB plug on the one end.

Didn't you read my question?
Sure i read your post and question, i think the confusion is in the terminology of the word chrger.
Fitbit provides a charging cable, that will connect your tracker to any USB port that has power. This could be a USB on the laptop, a wall wort phone charger, a 12v charger for the car, even some portable power packs will work.
So if by charger your thinking of a box to plug into the wall that will provide power than no fitbit doesn't provide this.
This is explaned in the product manual or in this doc.
Now if you did not receive the charging cable, and did purchase your device new, than i would contact fitbit.

Fitbit is wrong for not addressing this problem... that being said the solution is so easy... all you have to do is cover the watch connector or clean the connector with alcohol before you charge it... i am a senior IT consultant... for a long time... and I know that if one person has a problem with a product... that person is not alone... I love the software and the Fitbit community and do not want to give up the Surge... at least until the next rumored watch comes out... I had Fitbit send me two new cables and bought a couple of third party cables... nothing helped... i read that you have to bend the prongs out with a paper clip... not true... the only thing that fixes the problem is cleaning or protecting the watch contacts... My advice to the Fitbit shills that answer complaints on this board... just tell the poor people that are suffering and considering leaving Fitbit to clean the contacts... HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW THAT??????????
