Surge intermittent tracking and syncing

I purchased an ionic dec 19, and a surge dec 20. The surge sleep tracer doesnt give a detailed reading. We both have iphones a 7 and 8. His surge only gets simplified sleep readings and the battery only lasts a day or so. Is there any fix for this?

TU in advance. Considering buying a dif  watch
