Surge is lost... Possibly dead

I just bought a surge last month, and it fit well initially but the band got much looser and i'd think it was on tight but then it would slip off frequently. Well I can't find it anymore, I think the battery is dead. So the measures that were suggested don't really work...could it tell me where it was each time it synced? Or anything? This was a huge splurge for me and this makes me really sad

Hey there @Jfreyberger! Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

It's sad to hear that your Surge got lost let me help you out, follow these instructions to try to find it.

  • Check your dashboard to see the last time your tracker synced. If it synced recently, that means it is within 15-20 feet of a computer with the Fitbit Connect software installed and a dongle plugged in.
  • Look near your laundry if you use a clip-on tracker. Many customers find that these trackers wind up in the dirty clothes pile.
  • If your Fitbit tracker is connected with a mobile device, take that device to the area where your tracker may have been lost and watch for a sync. (To initiate a sync, tap your tracker name at the top of the mobile dashboard and then tap Sync Now.) If a sync happens, you know the tracker is nearby.
  • Try using a Bluetooth locator app. For iOS you can try LightBlue - Bluetooth Low Energy. For Android you can try Bluetooth Finder.

If you still can't find your tracker I recommend you contacting the Support Team you can also check the warranty

Hope it helps! Let me know how it goes :).

Well it said it synced a few times during the day...when i was several
miles away from my fitbit! I went to crawl into bed and it came tumbling
out of my blankets...lol its a good thing i waited a day to wash them! So
im not so sure i trust the software, which is kind of disturbing...thanks
for the input!

Hi there @Jfreyberger,  I'm glad to know that you found your Buddy! It's totally strange that it was syncing when you were away from it Smiley Frustrated.  Another Surge in the range maybe? The good part is that you're back on track.

Happy stepping!
