Surge is not rainproof

This is not for me a warranty issue as I purchased my Surge in 2015, when I gave up on my Zip (battery issues)

Under features, Fitbit states that the Surge is safe in the rain.

An extremely heavy rain during a 5k on July 1 resulted in the foggy screen/inability to swipe problem.

Solved by 24 hours in long grain rice.  All week was clear screen and full swipability.

But at the beginning of a 5k July 8 i had again a foggy screen.  The day was extremely humid.

Rice this time cleared the screen but did not return the swipe ability.

To be fair, a fellow runner who uses a Garmin, also on July 1 developed a foggy screen, although rice has so far returned her clear screen.

I walk/jog in the rain all the time, and like yours, when the screen is wet it doesn't like to swipe, but I've never had any condensation under the glass and my area is 90+ very high humidity this time of year. Wonder if your band is starting to let go and is no longer fully sealed... Emujo
