Surge not syncing via bluetooth with any phone/tablet.

I have been having a probelm with my Fitbit Surge. My Surge syncs fine with my phone, but not with my computer. When I press "sync now" on my computer, it says it can't find the device. (even though it is right next to my computer) This is annoying because sometimes I don't have my phone but I want to sync my watch. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks for the help!

The Surge is only capable of talking to one Bluetooth device at a time so you'd need to make sure Bluetooth is off on the phone (or it's too far away to be an issue). Additionally, if your phone is bonded to your tracker for notification purposes, I think that needs to be disabled too.

Hi Mike, I tried turning off the notifications on the Surge and turning off the bluetooth on my phone, but my computer is still unable to detect and sync with the Surge.

Hello @Sean_S!  I'd like to know if you're still having syncing with you Surge. I recommend a quick restart, this will help you to refresh all your information on your Surge. It would be a good idea making sure that you're logging on the correct email (a typo?). Besides that you may want to try using different USB ports. If all the previous steps don't work proceed to set up your tracker as a new device by doing the following:

  1. lick the Fitbit Connect icon located near the date and time on your computer. User-added image
  2. Click Open Main Menu...
  3. Click Set Up A New Fitbit Device.
  4. Click Existing User and log in to your account.
  5. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Keep me posted!
