Hello fitbit, I have tried everything mentioned on this board to try and sync my Surge to no avail. Tried re-starting phone and Surge several times, nothing works. Deleted Surge from application and phone and tried re-installing and nothing. Please help.

Hi guys, same problem here, but with update, I'm no computer buff, but it seems there is a software issue, probably issues about compatability etc.  Ive got in touch with fitbit, by email, will have to wait on reply.  Error message 'unable to update'  I have no functions operating on screen apart from 'lets get started'  Tried restart, but hey I just don't need the hassle, I didn't buy that !

Having same issue with surge not syncing to my iPad.  Have to forget the device in Bluetooth and remove the surge from the app. Once it reinstalls it stays connected for a while, but it keeps looking for device, never syncing.  It syncs fine to my iPhone just fine so I suspect a software issue.

Hello @FV58@burto@Barbwire and @Geoffvak17! It's great to have you all in the Community!

@Geoffvak17, Since you have already gotten in touch with Support, let's wait for their reply. Let me know what they say.

@FV58 and @burto, I recommend that you follow the steps mentioned in this post. There are several different troubleshooting steps that you could try and should work.

@Barbwire, Have you set up notifications with your iPhone? Regularly when notifications are set with a device, the tracker will not sync with any other device. My suggestion would be to try and turn off the iPhone's Bluetooth and then try to sync with the iPad itself.

Please let me know how it goes for everyone!

I have followed all the directions from Fitbit. I have forgotten and removed the Fitbit and added it again. Same thing every time. I have made no changes to notifications again my research points to softwares changes, thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Hey @FV58! Thanks for the confirmation.

In this case, since the troubleshooting steps suggested didn't work, I'd recommend that you contact our Support team. I'm sure they will be happy to take a closer look into what's happening.

Be sure to let me know how it goes.
