Hi, @Reenabasher! A warm welcome to you my friend! Wow! Are you saying your Surge was really hot? Or was it literally burning on fire?
Please let us know and provide as much details as you can of the situation, so we can further assist!
Have a nice day!

Hope you’re enjoying the forums @Reenabasher! I'm glad to see you around. It's too bad to hear that your Surge got wet.
Similar thing happened to me, I put it on rise and it worked, but in your case I think that it's best to contact our Support Team as @SteveH mentioned, so they can determine what happened after it got wet.
I'll be waiting for your reply!

I am hoping that Fitbit will accept your unit back to research the reason on why your device started "misbehaving"... and on the meantime maybe give you a new unit (?) if your warranty covers you.

Nice to see you around @SunsetRunner! Thank you for jumping in to give your thoughts in regards of this matter. Sometimes Customer Support requests the "misbehaving" product and some others not, it'll depend on the scenario. And as you said, it should be under warranty to be replaced. But let's wait and see what is the response from them. I'm sure they will be more than glad to help @Reenabasher with this.
Catch you later.
