Hello,
Recently my surge has only been charging halfway. The charger is fine and connects fine. Its like it stops because it thinks that the battery is full however the bar only shows half full on the watch itself and the app. It also only has a half charge battery life. I have tried resetting it, reconnecting the charger. This is my second watch as the strap fell apart on the last one. I've only had it a few months so I'm a little disappointed.

I'm glad to see you here in the Forums @SunsetRunner, you comments are very important for us!
Thanks for the details, I think that we need to monitor the information that your Surge shows. So, let's clean the contacts of your tracker and charger, since these contacts can become obstructed by microscopic dirt or debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this may damage the plating and result in corrosion.
Restart your Surge a couple of times and fully charge your Fitbit, it can take around 3 hours. We recommend plugging your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your tracker.
Take a look of the battery sign that your Surge shows, it should be full. Once it's fully charged sync your tracker and check if the battery status matches with your Fitbit App. You can also check your Fitbit.com Dashboard after syncing it, it is located on the Settings in the upper right corner.
Take a look to these tips to improve the battery life of your Surge, they might help. If you aren’t tracking runs or exercises that use GPS, your fully charged Surge should last up to 7 days before needing a charge. A fully charged Surge can track up to 10 hours of activities that use GPS.
Please keep me posted!

Thanks for the update. Mmm, it looks fishy!
Can you please turn off the HR function and the Bluetooth on your phone, while charging your Surge. Try to reconnect your Surge with your Account, to refresh the firmware update; it might be related to that issue. Later on you can let charge for another hour and a half. Are you charging your Surge via USB or on the wall?
Keep me posted, please!
