Surge switching off on its own

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I have a new fitbit surge that I am using for about 2 weeks. It was working perfectly fine till this morning untill I noticed that it was switched off. I switched it on but again after a few minutes the same thing happened. Despite the fact that it was sufficiently charged. Later this afternoon I charged it fully. Reluctantly it came to life but after 3-4 minutes the display faded and went off again. Can someone please advise how can this be sorted. I also updated the app. While I am posting this message, my fitbit is on and is holding well for last 5-6 min. Keeping my fingers crossed 😀

Welcome to the forums!

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

Hello Wendy,

Thanks for your revert. Unfortunately my watch is lying dead now as It refuses to boot. Upon switching on it only shows the opening fitbit logo which eventually fades in under a minute and the screen turns blank.

Have tried to switch it on a couple of times with no success. I guess contacting support is the only option.

Regards

Praveen
