Surge won't connect without internet

I am on a ship in the navy. Obviously we go underway from time to time, if not on deployment. Even if we aren't out, I don't have signal when I'm inside the skin of the ship. I was wondering if there was a way I can connect to my phone without internet. Because I'm sure even the sailors and soldiers overseas have the same problem. If there isn't a way, please make it possible so that the people defending our country have the opportunity to use the product. Thank you.

@NavySurfer Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! That's a great idea my friend and I agree with you. At the moment, since the Fitbit platform is on the Internet, your Surge will need Internet access to transfer its data to your Dashboard. However, your Fitbit has the ability to save your data for 7 days minute by minute and you can sync it in the 7th day.

The advice of my friend @matt9013 is correct as well. You can submit your great request in our "Feature Request" board so your idea can be reviewed and the more people vote for it, the more chances it will get to be implemented sooner. I'm pretty sure that your idea will be highly voted.

Hope this info helps my friend and hope to see you around more often in the Community! Smiley Happy
