Surge won’t function if not plugged into charger

I have a 2 year old Surge. When it’s plugged in to the charger I can swipe through the function pages and change screens with the buttons no problem. The battery symbol with the charging symbol is displayed. However as soon as I unplug it the screens goes blank and I can’t do a thing with it. Any ideas? Many thanks

You can try restarting it: restart

 

If that does not work it is time for a new tracker.

Wow! What a suggestion; to get a new tracker, only after 2 years! I am having the same problem. Cannot even reset. Cannot shut down too.
