Surge won't update time in new timezone

Essentially the watch is stuck on the old timezone which I left. I have used the watch abroad and after a sync it would update the time correctly. However since I have arrived in Korea 2 weeks ago it has not updated not matter what I do.

I have used both the android and iOS app to sync each time. I have used the advance setting for the Automatic zone, and did sync. When that didn't work I selected the time zone manually and then synced. Neither method was successful.

This is very frustrating. Especially as I will be traveling frequently in the next few weeks.Any help or solution would be appreciated.

You can try to set the time using the GPS. Choose an exercise which requires a GPS, wait until it finds a signal and at that moment, it sets the clock.

However, due to the political situation in both Koreas, it might not work ... Post here what happened.

Thanks for the reply and I tried to set it via the GPS. It does lock on but at least for me the time is not changed. During the activity and after, it stays the same.

I am considering downgrading the android app to a previous version and seeing if that will fix it.

So, it actually wants the correct time zone. Which the tracker cannot determine autonomously.

Well, there is an update of the app, dating a couple of days ago, with some bugs cleared out, so give it a try...
