Sweating and the surge

My surge screen went out after a really hard intensive racquetball work out where I was sweating. didn't get hit there's no crack on the face. it appeared to be like a condensation issue so fit bit is replacing it. I went through the online chat room to get help and have a confirmation number and everything so I feel the customer service is good having read all the posts on this issue in the community here I'm very disappointed and nervous about my replacement. if I can't sweat during a workout what good is this to me ? Are there any precautions that I can take? I saw one person suggest a sweatband I was wondering if maybe covering it up so that the extreme temperatures don't get to it. will it keep steps if I don't have the heart rate going? how about a little information in the article some customer service and writing about this issue and what we can do as you resolve it.

I had the same issue with my Surge.  It appeared that there was condensation under the screen and then the touch screen quit working completely.  Fitbit did replace it, but is it going to happen again?  You can work out, just dont sweat.  LOL

Hey guys @mattntucson @Yvonnerita is great to have you here on the Community and thanks for sharing your experience with us!  Smiley LOL I understand this issue, because I sweat a lot too Smiley Very Happy and yep sometimes I use a sweatband like this:

However, I don't have the heart rate readings for my workout, but I do have everything else. I also found a different option:

And I know is not fancy or cute, but you'll have the heart rate feature. (this is just an option). Let me share the Ware and Care article and guys remember that your Surge have a little hole at the back of the screen, this is the altimeter, this is the reason why our trackers get wet Smiley Sad.

I hope this helps, enjoy the rest of the week! Smiley Wink
