Did you scroll down (swipe screen up)?  Items not currently selected may not be visible unless you scroll the items that have been selected out of the way.

As an example, here is a screen shot from my iPhone.  After I scrolled down (swipe the screen up) you can see that I don't have calories burned or miles chosen and normally they would not show up except when I'm in the edit screen.  By the way, you can change the order of how things appear by deselecting all of them, closing out of edit, and then adding them back a couple at a time.  Every time you add something new it is added to the bottom.

Hi @indydiva -- at the top of the dashboard to the left of 'fitbit' (in the aqua banner) press 'edit.'  This will allow you to select all the available metrics and display the ones that you want.  ('Edit is easy to hit by accident when you are scrolling the left and right arrow icons at the top to change dates -- that is probably how you deleted the exercise guy.)

Let us know if that works.
