Syncing issue

Has anyone ever had the problem of your Fitbit losing step data when it dies? I had 15k steps on my surge last night before it died. I plugged it in to sync it this morning and it said I only had 10k steps for yesterday... It's syncing today fine. I normally wouldn't really care but I've been participating in a stepbet and thus disqualified me so I lost money. 😕 I've had it die before without syncing and it's always held on to the data in the past.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Lightcvt. It's great to have you here. I'm not sure why your Fitbit Surge lost some of your steps when the battery drained out. This is definitely not an expected behavior. If you haven't done it already I would recommend performing a restart to your Surge by following @Rich_Laue's steps. This should fix any issue with your tracker. Let me know how it goes.

Good luck with your stepbet challenge. Keep up the super stepping. Smiley Very Happy
