I'm also having the same issue for the past 1 week. I've tried to turn on my bluetooth to allow it to sync to my phone or laptop but it keeps restarting.

I, too, am having problems with the watch restarting the Bluetooth - I have a LG Optimus G Pro (Android) and I have been having this problem for 2-3+ weeks now. This is also a replacement for the first one.
I found a way around it at first and now it is completely refusing altogether.
I'm just not happy with this watch and with how much this cost - $250 - there shouldn't be this Bluetooth problem. I'm not happy at all.
If someone at FitBit can figure out the issue, that would be great - if not, you'll be losing a customer for good.
Thanks,
MAP

I have been having the exact same issue for the past days since the last update. I discovered the issue while trying to pair my Iphone 5s with my watch again. Somehow I cannot connect my phone to my watch anymore I am very frustrated by this issue!
Please someone help us. It is definitely not an isolated problem.

@Lindaee@veronunavik@MAP0126 I've moved your post into it's own thread as it was misplaced in a thread regarding a different issue.
For the syncing issues that you're experiencing, I recommend confirming that you meet all the minimum requirements and have tried out all the suggested troubleshooting tips in this useful help article: "I can't sync my tracker." See ya around.

I must admit I find syncing with Android a bit of a hit and miss affair and have been very frustrated. The standard advice of do a restart is all very well but it isn't always the cure.
When you say 'turn the bluetooth on' do you just mean enabling it on your phone or are you attempting a BT 'pair' manually? I've found on my current phone (Motorola X Play) that this always causes problems. You need to allow the android app to manage the BT connection. Otherwise the sync just doesn't work.
Otherwise it sounds like your Surge may be faulty?

@Lindaee when you say turning Bluetooth on i assume your turning the bluetooth off your phone on. Their really is no reason to turn this off. Turning BT on should not cause your tracker to reboot, but if your battery has a low charge, or is dying then the tracker may restart during the sync process. Have you tried plugging the tracker into its charger during a sunc cyc

@Lindaee As @chris2121 mentioned, in order to pair your Fitbit tracker you must allow the Fitbit app to handle the Bluetooth pairing process as it will not work if you're attempting to pair the tracker from your phone's Bluetooth settings. Try the following steps to get it to sync with either your computer or mobile device.

I find syncing incredibly frustrating. It seems so unpredictable.
I would strongly advise contacting customer support. It may well be that there is a fault with your device itself.

@Lindaee just a note, bluetoith classic only needs to be turned on for music control. But if the tracker reboots when turning on the classic borough radio it sounds like the battery is unable to handle the extra draw.
My suggestion would be to charge the Surge completely and try again. Also try with it plugged into its charger and charging. Im not saying this is an answer but a conformation that my thoughts are right or wrong.
Have you contacted Fitbit and have them use their tools to look into your tracker yet?

Hi
I also cant sync my surge without restarting it. I have tried all the steps suggested, it just wont sync. I have tried my laptop and Android phone. After a restart the phone syncs, but then wont sync after that. This has started happening couple of days ago, maybe at most a week.
Please help, its annoying to have to restart my surge each time to sync.
Thanks
Daniel

I'm finding I have to restart at least once a day at the moment to get the sync to work. Annoyingly the PC has started behaving like this over the last few days which is annoying because syncing on the PC was generally reliable.

@Lindaee Thanks for the clarification. As @Rich_Laue mentioned, if your Surge is restarting when toggling the music control's Bluetooth classic, I recommend reaching out to our Support Team as your Surge may be faulty.
@DanielDK@chris2121 If your syncing is unpredictable, I recommend trying out the troubleshooting tips provided here. That should improve your experience.

Erick. Believe it or not I've tried all those tips. Bottom line - it's not very reliable.
