Purchased a Surge 2 weeks ago, just started using it recently. The Run, Exercise, Alarms, and Settings icons are appearing, but the Timer feature is nowhere to be found. Did I receive a defective item?

Hi, @Chesney, it sounds like you need to update your Surge.  Earlier versions of the firmware did not have a timer.  The current version is 16.34.5.14.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the app.  There should be a red arrow on the app indicating that there is an update available for your Surge.

Hi @Chesney! Please receive a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! As @Julia_G mentioned before, you need to update your Fitbit Surge to get the "Timer" option. You can do so by going to your Fitbit App > Account > Surge > Update Tracker Software. Smiley Wink

In case that the option is not there, follow these steps to disconnect your Surge and do the Setup again; while setting up a tracker, you usually are asked to update it. Please check if your Fitbit App and phone are up to date before to do so, and remember to fully charge your Surge too.

If you're using a computer check the steps in this post! Cat Tongue
