Hi all, new to the works of fitbit and trackers. Can someone confirm what is supposed to happen when you track cycling please? Have just bought my SO a surge cos I love mine. He cycles to work which is only 10 mins but the surge tracked his heart rate but didn't log the journey as exercise on his dashboard. Is he doing something wrong or is that all it's meant to do?

Outdoor biking should be recognized automatically when enabled the activity to be tracked automatically on the account.

A treshold from 10 up to 90 minutes can be set, if for example setting outdoor biking to 10 minutes, any rides from 10+ minutes are being tracked.

Standard the treshold is set to 15 minutes.

@Classybyrd welcome aboard! Hey, that's right @SunsetRunner. Cat Very Happy Way to go! Also, recommend your SO to restart the Surge:

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Hope this helps, keep us posted with the outcome!
