Hi Interwebbers,
Occasionally my Fitbit Surger throws in an extremely large extra amount of exercise, usually labelled as 'walking' that completly throws off my daily stats. For example, in the picture below it says I've been walking for just over 10 hours and has calculated I burnt an extra 4,000+ calories during this time; suprisingly this wasn't the case, and most of this time I was sat down at my desk or on the commute - I did move around occasionally, but it seems the Fitbit is being too clever and tracking the start of my walk (from my house) until getting back at the end of the day, and assuming all the hours in between were spent exercising, when in fact they were mainly spent resting on my backside - though, it is worth mentioning I did exercice yesterday, but tracked my swim and gym time manually 🙂
Does anyone know how to rectify this particular automatic traking - at the moment I'm having to manually delete all these entries which is a bit annoying.
Please help

Hello @David_Greene, welcome aboard to our community. By the looks of your image, it seem this activity came from MyFitnessPal account. Usually when your Surge automatically tracks activities, should say on your activity history "Walk". But this type of activity are manual entries from MFP. I have replicate the same scenario on my accounts and I got the same results: As you can see I have the same time on MFP account and my Fitbit Dashboard, which for the purposes of this example I have tons of calories burned but actually I haven't done any exercise.
If you are not logging this activities, try to relink your accounts.
1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."
5. You can then re-link the two accounts by going to http://www.fitbit.com/apps/myfitnesspal.
Hope this helps and see you around. Keep me posted how it goes.

Hi @RobertoME - thanks for the welcome and advice. I've disconnected the apps from both ends and have re-linked them; fingers crossed this fixes the issue, if it doesn't I'll get back to you and the forum.
Regards,
David
