Travelling with Fitbit Surge

Hey I was just wondering, does the Fitbit Surge run without Bluetooth or mobile data. I am planning on travelling Europe on foot and don't want to drain my phone battery for it. I've read a few things on this forum about other fitbits storing data whilst offline. And I'm hoping it's the same with the Surge. Thank you

I just turn the bluetooth on my phone off so it can't sync and turn it on when I am somewhere there is wifi to upload data.  I have had to restart the fitbit often to get it to start to sync again.

This is from the Surge manual:

Surge holds detailed minute-by-minute information for the most recent 7 days, and 30 days of daily summaries. Heart rate data is stored at one-second intervals during exercise tracking and at five-second intervals at all other times.

Your recorded data consists of steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, floors climbed, active minutes, heart rate, and sleep tracked.

If you do not sync after 7 days then the oldest data will get overwritten.
