Hi, @sarahsmile, sometimes when the Fitbit dies completely it needs an extra nudge before it will restart.  I think this is likely what happened to your Surge.  The solution is ideally not to let it run so low on battery that it dies -- ideally charge it before it gets to that point.  Many people find that charging it little and often works best -- for example plug it in each day for 15 minutes or so while you shower.  Frequent charging of your Surge will not do it any harm and will be much better for the battery than allowing deep discharge.

For the second problem, it sounds like your Surge has not synced to update the correct time.  If the battery dies, it will need a sync to update the time.  (You can check the time and date of your last sync by selecting the Surge icon on your app.).  For troubleshooting sync issues, have a look at this help article.  Hopefully one of these tips will get your Surge syncing again and the time updated.

A warm welcome to our new friend @sarahsmile! Thank you @Julia_G and @WendyB for jumping in to help, you're always of great help! Heart

I think that the information provided it's great, I'd like to add that you will find the information on how restart your Surge in this post. After syncing your Surge your time should be just fine. Cat Wink

Note that once in while you have to clean your Surge and charger contacts with a toothbrush or toothpick. Also remember to charge your Surge in the computer or with a Certified UL connector if you prefer to plug it into the wall. After 3 hours it should be fully charged. Robot wink

Have a great day, I'll be around in case you need more help! Cat Happy
