I believe that Fitbit has abandoned Surge users. It is obvious that there has not been a firmware update for quite some time and although I have seen many promises regarding the possibility of getting more than the four existing clock faces posted all over the Fitbit community, nothing has happened. This is really disappointing as I have been a loyal user for some time and I have even convinced other people to buy Fitbits. I have now seen the error in my ways and will not be buying a Fitbit again.

Surge has been discontinued. I'm sorry.
They have come out with other trackers that take its place. It's part of technology. They make improvements and move on
They still support the Surge if there are problems what not.
But no point in releasing new updates to a discontinued product

Yep, I agree....my wrist strap disintegrated, and they can't fit new ones, so they send me a new Surge; which has not been able to sync for over a month, and despite taking all steps to do so, refuses to do so...no firmware updates available, leaving me with the option on buying e brand new up to date something...it's not cheap, and I don't have the money. Sucks.

Hi @DeonL, nice to see you're digging into the Forums. You have a good question there, thanks for reaching out! Nice to see you around @Windyone.
As our good friend @WendyB mentioned, Fitbit Surge does't have new updates or more clock faces. Although, we’ll continue to support Surge from a software standpoint along with any questions you might have during your use of the product, we don't have plans for future updates at this moment. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit devices you love and help you reach your goals.
@Windyone Thanks for all the steps that you've tried with your new Surge, it's odd that it is not syncing. Have you tried to follow the steps suggested here: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? Make sure your device is listed here too. Let us know if you need more help with this.
Your comments are very important for us, we always share feedback with our team. In case that you have questions about your Fitbit Surge let me know.
I'm here to help.

Hi Yojanna, to say I’m dissapointed is an understatement. Please tell me when it was discontinued and where this was advised. Although the Surge is working well, the software is really outdated and my kids Fitbit (bought at the same time) looks much better. I do not think I will be buying a Fitbit again.

Thanks for your reply @DeonL! I understand your point, thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
We're always working to streamline our offerings as we introduce new products. Although it has been a very popular product for us, we stopped selling Fitbit Surge a while ago.
If you're looking for a new device, we recommend considering Ionic. Ionic is a motivating timepiece packed with fitness guidance, health insights, music storage, apps, and more. You can learn more about Ionic at the Fitbit page > Product > Ionic.
You can learn more about the rest of the Fitbit family of products at Fitbit page > Product > Compare Fitbit devices. As mentioned before, we’ll continue to support Surge from a software standpoint, along with any questions you might have during your use of the product. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit devices you love and help you reach your goals.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
