Upper right button on FITBIT Surge does not work in Exercise mode

Upon completing an "event" in the "Exercise Mode" of my FITBITSurge, I press the buttom right button to stop the time then when I press the upper right button, I should see the summary screen but nothing happens. I continue to press the button by the "flag" icon remains instead of changing to an "X" (summary screen). The screen is frozen, so I have to restart my Surge and hope when I get home the summary of the event has synced with my app.
