Currently using Fitbit app with MyFitnessPal. I was having connectivity problems between my Surge and Android device on 1/1 so I did a complete reset that night (install/uninstall both apps, unpair/repair the device, reset the device). 1/2 I took a walk. It was right about an hour of walking while pushing a jogging stroller. It recorded the walk as 15 minute walk, and a 35 minute bike ride in Fitbit and a walk in MFP. My end of the day was 822 calories burned (MFP) and around 6,300 steps. I had connectivity problems this morning, so did a reset of my device again. I just finished a two hour walk pushing the stroller. It has charted the activity as 3 walks and 3 outdoor bikes. The step count is 9,000 steps and 530 calories burned in MFP. What is causing such a discrepancy in the amount of calories burned? Why is it recording such inaccurate exercises? Resets obviously aren't helping.

Today is even worse. Muddling around the house to get ready has accumulated 350 steps but it says I have burned 150 calories. Does anyone have ideas why this is happening? Between the inaccuracies and the connective problems (every day I must unpair and repair to my bluetooth) I'm beginning to think I should just try a new fitness tracker.

Welcome to the Forums @Nomikia, I'm happy to see you here! Using my MyFitnessPal is a great help when you're tracking your calories. As you have 2 different questions, I would like to start with your syncing issues. I have some tips that you can find useful in this post when syncing with Android phones.
About your calories when you're jogging pushing a stroller. I would recommend you to use the option "Run" from the Multi-Sport section in your Surge, you will find the option on your watch by pressing the "Home button" > Press Exercise > choose Run. In that way you will help your Surge to know exactly the exercise that you're performing. Since your hands are not moving as when you're normally running, your Surge might get that activity as biking as you're holding the stroller.
If you're currently using Fitbit to track your activities, you don't need to use MFP too. All your food logs can be transfer to Fitbit so you can get a better calculation in regards calories in/out and avoid discrepancies between Apps.
Hope this helps! I'll be around!

Thank you for the link.
Would running be appropriate? I just found that I can customize my available exercises/shortcuts So I have switched one to "Walk" but have yet to try it out. Which would be a better option?
I use just MFP for the food diary and just FitBit for the activity. I love how well they typically work together. Yesterday and today I ran flights of stairs instead of walking; this makes a huge difference between the apps as MFP only calculates steps while FitBit charts floors. Any suggestions to get accurate calories on both? Even when my exercises logged as biking, only steps were reflected in MFP.

Thanks for getting back @Nomikia! You can use either Walk or Run, the GPS on your Surge will help your tracker to have a better understanding in regards calories burned. Please note that since you're pushing a stroller your wrist-based tracker will count your steps but the total may be slightly lower than usual, since you're not moving your hands as you normally do it when running. What I have heard from other users is that they place the Surge in their pockets during that time, since it would be easier for your Fitbit to track all movements in the torso area. This is up to you!
I'm happy to know that you like how these two Apps work together. Fitbit will receive all the information from your calories, if you're logging every single food and will take the calories burned information from exercises. So, I'd recommend to use the Food Plan from Fitbit to see your over all throughout the day. It should be very accurate, taking in count that Fitbit also uses the information from the calories you burn while sleeping or when you're sedentary.
Good luck and I'll be around in case you need anything else!
