Water logging

Hi All.

I've been having a little play around with my Fitbit in the past couple of days and seemed to have come across a little bug with logging water.  I understand that we all have to drink a certain amount every day to stay hydrated.  So why does it not log water consumption when you have a cup of coffee or tea automatically, for instance, I just think that would be a good idea, as they also contribute towards your daily water intake.

Thank you.

Hey mrbungalowtwc. Not sure that I understand what you mean but I'll put my 2 cents in anyway. It would probably require a container that monitors the amount of liquid it contains (how else would the Surge know how much you drank?) and via Bluetooth transmit that information to the Surge. Possible? Definitely. Practical? Not so sure. Cool idea? Oh yea.

Hey, @mrbungalowtwc@VF31AE3! It is is nice to see you. I think this is because Fitbit's point is to encourage you to drink as much pure water as possible. It is actually the minimum your body requires in a day.

I totally get your point, because there is water in all beverages and even in food, but this is the way it has been designed. However, your idea would make it a lot more specific, so you can go and post it on our Feature Suggestions board to share it!

See you around! Cat Happy
