So ever since I updated the app back in November (I think is was November ) the app hasn't been syncing my surge data. It constantly says tracker not found and I have to manually sync it but I have to try to sync it multiple times. And now I won't sync at all. I have restarted the surge, unpaired and re paired it to my phones blue tooth and nothing. HELP

Welcome to our Community @FitnessKat! If you're still having syncing issues with your Surge, besides the steps you tried and @SunsetRunner's advices, you can also make sure you're running the latest app version. Then try to set it up as a new device again.

Hi @FitnessKat

If not already done, feel free restarting the phone.

In case the issue remains, consider uninstalling the Fitbit App & Reinstall freshly.

Hope it helps

Getting really fed up of this ... first it won't sync consistently and now when I try to charge it I get a message saying it has malfunctioned and is not recognised by my computer. Maybe it is time to give up and just bin it?

And so it goes on ... trying to sync but 'An unknown error has occurred!'

Hey there @sakura56 and @lanie2763!  Thanks for all your attempts. I'd like you to try restarting your buddy, this usually releases any information stuck in your tracker. I also like to know if you already tried to sync your tracker with a computer. @sakura56 regarding the error message you got, you can try to force quit your app.

Let me know if this works.

Hi.
My Surge won't connect to my phone. I've reset my IOS, reset the tracker, removed the device from list, check app up to date, stopped and started Bluetooth, and even tried to register the restarted tracker on another phone. It's just not working. What else can I try?

This becomes ridiculous.  Fitbit can't get the software right.  I should not have to continuously reinstall software to get the tracker to track, and I should not have to keep rebooting my watch.  The problem is with the product. Fix the **ahem**ed problem.  At $320 Cdn for a watch, I am extremely disappointed in performance.

Hi @Canuq! I understand how you feel about this, and you are right, you shouldn't be restarting your Surge and reinstall the app on your phone every time you wanna sync. I can imagine this is very annoying. But don't worry, in this case, the best you can do is get in touch with Fitbit Support so they can investigate why your Fitbit is not syncing normally and provide you with a solution.

Let me know how it goes!
