im buying a fitbit surge off of a friend as she doesnt use it anymore and but unfortunately the band size is a small but i need a large band size how do i go about getting the correct size band for myself

The Surge wasn't designed to have replaceable bands and fitbit do not sell them. It is possible to find 3rd party replacements on Amazon, eBay etc but the replacement procedure is quite complicated although there are YouTube tutorials. It's not for the faint hearted.
