When you say "fail to show dashboard" do you mean the steps are not showing up or you can't see a dashboard any longer? If you don't see the steps, how do you know it sync'd? To help with the problem, we will need a bit more information. Are you sync'ing with a computer or a phone (if a phone, iOS or Android?).

If you sync with your phone and it is within Bluetooth range, it won't sync with a PC (or any other device). You could try turning off the BT on your phone (or putting it in another room) and see if that helps. Also, I believe Windows7 still requires the dongle to be plugged in (see picture below), so you may want to make sure that is still there. If it is neither of those things, let us know. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi
sorry for the delay my reply found it's way out of the forum reply lines of comunication [i messed up].
I turned off my phone, i even deleted fitbit from my phone so as to concentrate on PC only, and yes i am using the dongle. As i mentioned, it used to work on my PC but not now.
I have even tried dissabling all my security as i thought it might be affecting how fitbit operates.
I have tried the fitbit help site but no advice has worked---so far.
I don't know if it is a problem with fitbit, or my dongle has stopped working or if it is a problem with my computer.
I have reinstalled fitbit on my phone so at least i can use it, i just cant' abide things that don't work as they should.

You have done all the things I would have tried. If it is working on your phone, it is not the fitbit. The dongle not working might be possible, but as I recall (I run 10 now, so no dongle required) it will tell you that no dongle is connected. If the Fitbit software is coming up and it is not giving you the "no dongle" warning, I am out of ideas. I would try customer service next or perhaps somebody else has some good ideas.

Thank you Blade. your help was much appreciated, although we didn't resolve the problem it's nice to know there are people out there who are prepared to give you a little of their time when you need it.
