My disappearing screen has continued to get worse. During last nights run there was only a small strip left, so i couldn't read any information and regularly went completely. This morning I can get most of the screen back by swiping to the next screen, but this wouldn't work during the run. Any ideas?

If it's a software glitch then trying a restart might help:

Give this a few tries as it doesn't always work.
However, if it's a hardware problem then contacting customer support is your best bet:
If they can't fix it then they usually offer a replacement if you are still under warranty or a discount towards a new tracker if you are out of warranty.

It's got to be worth a try in the situation (but I don't think I'd put any money on it working)
