On mobile app touch the gray index card at the top right of the tile screen
touch the pic of your surge
touch "execise shortcuts" to the bottom of the list
use the + sign to add exercise shortcuts and touch hold and drag to reorder
touch and swipe left rapidly to delete

At fitbit.com, click the gray'd gear in the upper right
click the pic of your surge
scroll down to exercise shortcuts, click edit.
Remember to hit the "submit" button when everything looks as you'd like
Next time you sync your shortcuts will be there on your Surge
(if you had a mobile you could touch and pull down on the App screen to force a sync)
If you are using fitbit connect, if you click the connect icon on the tray "sync now" may still be a choice - been a longgg time since I used it, fingers crossed.
