My surge (and so did my charge) measure a heartrate during the daytime, just sitting/working/walking, seem way too high. When I'm just working from my desk its often over 100 bpm.
When I measure this with diffrent other devices like my polar or HR-monitor, it's usually around 80 bmp.
Because the HR measured during the day is so high, my calories burned per day seem way too high to. The measurements during training and sleep seem alright..

Hey @Alaskiii! It's nice to see you here! Okay, that's odd. I'd like to know since when you noticed this readings. Since HR readings getting around 100 bpm are usually taken when you're either taking medication or getting a cold or the flu. While I'm not a physician; I have found that when you are having a fever, your body is trying to fight an infection or virus and attempting to regulate your body temperature.
Body temperature is regulated by a part of the brain called the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus sends signals to the rest of the body telling it to warm up or cool down. When the body needs to warm up after its usual temperature rises (because of the fever), the hypothalamus instructs the body to increase its oxygen demand, muscle tone, shiver, secrete hormones such as epinephrine, and constrict blood vessels (this is why the heart rate increases). So this might be a posibility.
You can also try to restart your tracker, because it might be that it having some hardware issues; if this is the case, this may work!
Hope this helps!

Hi @Alaskiii! Thanks for getting and the clarification. Do you have some screen shots of the days that you can see this information, comparing to the information when you're working out. I would like to take a look of them. Restarting your Surge, will help only in case that it is a hardware issue. I'm very interested in keep assisting you in regards of this inquiry, so those pictures would be really helpful.
Also take in count that since occasionally your tracker may have difficulty getting a strong signal. You can read more about how HR on the Fitbit Surge works and some tips to improve accuracy. Experiment with placing the tracker higher on your wrist; because blood flow in your arm increases the farther up you go, moving the tracker up a couple inches can be helpful. Also, make sure you're not wearing your tracker too tightly; a tight band restricts blood flow, potentially affecting the heart rate signal.
Please note that if you're comparing your Fitbit tracker with other devices, you might not get the same readings since all devices track information in a different way.
I'll be waiting for your response!
