incorrect elevation details

I did a ride today tracked on my surge, the ride involved over 3200ft of ascent. This is accurately recorded on strava after synching the activity. However Fitbit has only recorded 700 ft of ascent and only allocated me 90 floors.

My partner did the same ride with me tracked on his Surge and whilst his elevation recorded is less that strava it is significantly higher than mine, and he has been given 200 floors.

Anyone any idea what the problem could be

Hi, @JeanSh, the Surge altimeter is a little hole on the left hand side of the device.  If it is blocked by dust or sweat or whatever it can give inaccurate results.  You might want to clean it, very gently.  I find flexible brush picks (used for cleaning your gums between your teeth) work a treat!
