After about a year of use my surge strap has parted near the watch seems a shame to throw it away as the watch works fine will have to try another brand

If you live within Europe then you will still be within the 2 year warranty period (it's 1 year outside Europe).

 

If you are covered then you could contact customer support to see if they will replace it for you:
