transferring data from surge to a device

I used my surge today on a walk, i set the exercise to run and did an hours walk with the dog. I have started fitbit on my phone but nothing has transferred  over.

When i finished the walk i paused then stopped the exercise and i'm assuming it is still on the watch somewhere.

How do i transfer this data

Seems i was impatient, i looked a few minutes later and it was all there. Sure as hell knocked the battery though.
