I have created an app that imports and exports Fitbit step counts, body weight, body fat%, height (and BMI), calories burnt, distance, stairs climbed, heart rate, and sleep start/end times into Samsung S Health. The app is called "Fit and Healthy" and is available from the Google Play store for Android. The app accepts a date range to sync.
Importing and exporting of body fat%, height/BMI, calories burnt, distance, heart rate and sleep start/end times require the purchase of an upgrade pack to the base app. Steps can be imported and exported for free as can body weight import.
The app adds a "tile" to the S Health screen where the latest Fitbit step count can be seen. Clicking the tile leads to a history graph split into daily, monthly and total history views. By using the "Source data" menu, the app graphs the Fitbit tracker, your other devices or a combination. Both step counts and weight trends can be viewed in the history graph.
The app can be set to automatically sync every 15 minutes, hourly, 6 hourly, half-day, daily or weekly. The background synchronisation schedule can be set so that the app downloads at a certain time of day (for example, during the waking hours, while exercising or in the off-peak hours).
On first use, the app will ask for permission to read and write from S Health and Fitbit. Your Fitbit password will be entered into the fitbit.com site on your phone's browser - the app cannot see your Fitbit user id or password.
Next up, I plan to add the importing exercises and food intake. Other devices are a little further down the track.
This app has been approved by Samsung as a partner app for S Health. It can be found in S Health, under Partner apps in the fitness category.
I wrote the app as I noticed that there wasn't a way to have the data from my Fitbit Aria weight scale show up in S Health on my Samsung Galaxy phone. On search, it looked like people have been asking for a feature like this for 2 years (since 2014).
I am looking for feedback on what to improve, features to add and especially bug reports. The app contains a menu where I can be emailed privately and a discussion group set up to publically talk/complain about the app.
The app can be downloaded and installed from this link in the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jsonlo.fitandhealthy
If you have the google play store installed on your phone, the Fit and Healthy app can be opened from this link:
market://details?id=com.jsonlo.fitandhealthy
I am available and will respond to any queries in this thread or the discussion group:

This may work but what cost is data. Is the number of datapoints that Fitbit would provide at the documented charges cost effective.

I am also very thankful to have found this app! i have been trying to figure out the best way to use both and I am really hoping this does the trick! I do not want to miss all my friends on Fitbit when I have my Samsung Gear on and VisVersa..

Have recently shifted from fitbit to Stealth. Would like steps data to move from Shealth to Fitbit. I think I followed all the steps mentioned here. Still I dont see steps or any other data at fitbit.

I have Samsung health but just recently got a Fitbit, which calculates my steps more accurately. I downloaded the fit and healthy app because I was hoping to use my Fitbit steps toward my s health global challenges that I enjoy with my friends. I see where a tile was added, but does the app use your Fitbit steps toward the challenges?

Welcome to the Forums @JESSdaPANDA and @ankursood80.
I apologize for the delay in my response.
@ankursood80 It is important to mention that these integrations are developed by the third parties so they should be able to check why is it that the steps are not syncing over, in case it is set up like that.
@JESSdaPANDA Are you referring to challenges on Fitbit or on Samsung Health or other app? If you are referring to Fitbit Challenges, only steps tracked by your Fitbit device will count towards challenges.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I bought the upgrade to transfer my heart rate info but it doesn't show my all day heart rate, just what my fitbit app said I was at at the time of syncing. I don't get a list, I just get one reading. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi All
Great app and working great, using a samsung gear 2 to sync into FitBit however you have to set a mobile device up to see the steps in the fitibit app?
I have done this and it is working but the steps are being counted from my mobile device and my gear so im ending up with more steps than i have done, any way to switch this off.
Also i know i have read in here that you can't use this for the fitibit challenges, is there any plan to look at this in the future?
cheers

Hello @HEMIR-MAYA. Welcome to the Forums @mattyboy711 and @Tetsula.
I apologize for the delay in my response.
Glad to read that everything seems to be working correctly with that app. I'd just like to reitereate that it is important to mention that these integrations are developed by the third parties and so we cannot guarantee the safety of the app.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello, LanuzaFitbit
While it is importan to say that these integrations are developed by third parties and that you cannot guarantee the safety of the apps, it is even more important to ask why are these basic integrations not provided by FitBit?
I am new to the FitBit universe and so far it seems like a nice, but small garden with very high walls, which is disappointing and makes me doubt my purchase.
FitBit should have enough trust in the superiority of its products to allow users to sync THEIR OWN data with at least the more popular major health platforms.

I see that the app will export FitBit heart rate data from FitBit to Samsung Health. This is great, for if and when I want to move MY DATA from FitBit to another platform.
But can it import historica heart rate data from Samsung Health into FitBit?

I like the FitBit app, but it's incredibly frustrating how hard it is to transfer my data into the FitBit app, or, apparently out of it. I may still return the Versa because of it. For food logging, I use MyFitnessPal and it is way better than FitBit, as well as friendly with the other major platforms.
But, back to my question: Does this (or any other) app import historica heart rate data from Samsung Health (or Google Fit) into FitBit?

Use 'FiT and Healthy' app which let's you sync fit bit and Samsung S. It lets you export Fitbit data to Samsung S Heath app or vice versa
