What's the best smart scale with body composition as of September 2022?
I bought a scale on Amazon claiming an integration with the Fitbit app but it doesn't work. So now I wanted to get the FitBit one to make sure it syncs correctly but seems like they only sell the Aria now (which doesn't have body composition), not the other one anymore...
So I wanted to buy the most recommended one, Withings, but the top post on this sub says it's not working anymore... Sooo what are you guys using? What's the top choices that WORK?

Hi,
We are definitely happy about Renpho, I previously owned a Fitbit Aria (the original version) but it broke down and in addition it was much less accurate (we could see variations of up to half kilo between two weighs one after the other).
I literally just replaced the 3 AAA batteries that power the scale but i can't remember at all when it was the previous time i did it.
The only cons it has is, in my opinion, the fact that it syncs via BT only so you need to have your phone with you and open the app to have the measure stored in your phone. Transferring to Fitbit and Google Fit is practically instantaneous.
Unfortunately it syncs only weight and fat % to Fitbit (BMI is just a calculation internally done at fitbit) but this is because of a limitation of fitbit API and not because of Renpho.

Clarification: I want the scale to sync ALL body composition information to the Fitbit app, NOT just weight. Thank you.

Hi there @Unvisited1351. Welcome to Community Forums.
I'd suggest you check our latest scale the Aria Air, so you can have all your information synced to your Fitbit account automatically. This bluetooth scale measures weight, provides weight stats, BMI and multiple users can be set up as well.
Hope this helps.

As said earlier,

The Aria Air doesn't provide e.g., % fat, % muscle, % water, % bone, metabolism, % protein, etc., like Aria 2 used to do and like other current smart scales on the market. So, no, sorry, Aria Air is not what I am looking for.

I've been owning a Renpho scale since few years and all my family looks very satisfied.

Thanks for sharing! I'm definitely going to look into Renpho! From what I can tell it's not too expensive and if you say it works well and syncs with FitBit, it might just be what I need! I just wish it could recharge USB instead of taking batteries. What info can it sync to FitBit? Can it sync all 13 body indices, or just basic ones like weight and BMI?

Thanks! Regarding the API limitation of the FitBit app, I wonder if that means that regardless of the smart scale brand, it will always have this problem (of only being able to sync weight and % body fat), so there's no real benefit in keeping to look for others that would do this if it is simply not possible. I might just go with Renpho then. I wonder if FitBit does this by purpose, in the hope of launching a new smart scale with that exclusive feature. Oh well, thanks for your comments!
