I just got a fitbit charge 2 and I was wondering if people have tinkered around with it and done stuff like installing third party stuff on the actual device itself? Or are there different apps you can get on your phone that can do more with it? Or is it all just proprietary?

You can connect your Fitbit account with third party apps. The information transferred between your accounts will depend on the integration. Only Fitbit devices with OS like Fitbit Sense or Fitbit Versa series are allowed to install applications from the Fitbit Gallery.
