Looking to replace my Fitbit that I have had for years with a new device. 

Unsure if I will continue with the Fitbit brand. Curious if the app will sync with any other devices (competitors)?

 

I see an article that it syncs to an Apple Watch and am curious the difference.

Nope, but you might be able to use a third party service like IFTTT

However these steps will not be sent to any challenges.
