Charge 2 Sync with Peloton

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I synced with Peloton, and have two problems.  First, while most of the information from the ride comes over to the fitbit app and website, STEPS do not.  How can I capture the steps?

Second, how do I stop a double entry, one coming from the Surge 2 (as I wear the watch while riding), and the bike? Sometimes it comes up as a treadmill run at same time, but only then do I get steps, and they are not accurate  - like 300 for a 30 minute, 8 plus mile ride?  (If I do not wear the watch at all I get no steps at all.)

Moderator edit: I have moved your post to the Charge 2 board to increase the chance of getting a response. Clarified subject.

Hey you @ReelTime, it's nice to see you around! I'd recommend taking a look at this great article about the your data when using Peloton app.

Keep in mind that you can't link your Fitbit to the Peloton bike, but you can pair the Peloton bike to the Fitbit app.  Check out this article on Connecting your Fitbit Device from the Peloton Support site.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for clarifying, and yes, I meant to reference the Charge 2, and not the Surge.  I am properly connected to the bike.  I just don't get "step data" as the bike doesn't track that.  After reading other comments on this topic, I placed the charge 2 in my sock when riding last night and it did track the steps.  Seems pretty convoluted, however.  How about putting a stationary bike, or spin bike on the Charge 2?  Seems like enough people exercise this way.

It really bothers me that I've dumped at least $500 into Fitbits over the years and religiously have Fitbit challenges with my friends and co-workers, but there is no way to convert steps from stationary bikes? I'm hammering away for hours on the bike and I barely get half the steps I should. I could walk in circles in my kitchen and living room and get more steps in 5 minutes than I can with 30 minutes on my stationary bike.
