Endomondo not syncing with my Fitbit properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am using Endomondo to track where I walk or ride my bike and sometimes the activities that are recorded by Endomondo, that show up in my Fitbit as things that I have done  do NOT show up in active minutes.  Anybody else have this issue?

@EricLA2 It's great to hear that you're using Fitbit with third-party apps!

You earn "very active minutes" when you wear your Fitbit while doing cardio workouts and high-intensity activities like jogging and running. Note that your active minute count will be lower for activities that are not primarily step-based, such as weight lifting, cycling, and rowing.

My issue seems to be that when I link Endomondo with Fitbit the very active
minutes I am getting from Endomondo (that record in the exercise log) do
not record as active minutes. I would like to have Endomondo record my
hikes and bikes and have it flow through to Fitbit, but if it won't accept
the minutes as active minutes I can't do that.

@EricLA2 Thank you for providing me with more details.

When you go for a walk or a run you shouldn't being logging those activities because your tracker already uploaded your information to the Dashboard.

If you're wearing your tracker when hiking or biking and later log those activities. If the information that you wrote is less active than what your tracker catched, your Very Active Minutes will be taken out from your Dashboard.

With the new updates of the Fitbit app - it seems to me that some of the intergrations and the data presentation has been messed up...

My Fitbit used to synch my Endomondo excecises as new excercises for the day - now nothing is added... I know that walks etc. are not synched as it would be double up - but my bike rides, rowing etc. is not transferred anymore ??

@Jan1979 It's great to have you here! Fitbit will sync just steps, distance and sleep to Endomondo. It won't sync the whole activity that you did. When you log an activity in Endomondo those activities will go to Fitbit as activities.

Fitbit > Steps > Endomondo
Fitbit > Distance > Endomondo
Fitbit > Sleep > Endomondo
Endomondo > Activities (workouts) > Fitbit

Thank you So much.

So inorder to see running activity, I need to see in fitbit app only, isn't it?

Is there any other option for me. I think maybe I have to put record to endomondo manually.

@Jan1979 Yes, because Endomondo and Fitbit activity will show in Fitbit. Keep in mind that you don't need to log running or walking activities in your Dashboard because your tracker was made for that.

@MaherAbuZer A warm welcome to the Community! Fitbit won't sync activities to Endomondo that's why you're not seeing the bike ride in Endomondo. Currently, it's not possible to sync the activities. However, you can post this idea in our Ideas Board because those suggestions are viewed directly by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote for them.

Hope I can continue seeing you around.

Is there any change to this situation, regarding logging cycle tracks in Endomondo from Fitbit?

Hey there @matstermatt! Currently, Fitbit will sync steps, distance and sleep and Endomondo will sync just activities to Fitbit. My Endomondo and Fitbit are syncing fine however it's done accuratly.

For example i completed 9000 steps the other day yet endomondo recorded it as 3400.

My fitbit is constantly syncing so by the time midnight comes the fitbit app matches the fitbit on arm as near it spot on so how come endomondo is so far out?

Cheers

Welcome to the Community @GreyMack! If you're comparing your Fitbit stats with any other tracker, the results you'll get will be really different because each one has its own algorithm to track data. If you have both apps linked you may want to check this third-party post to learn what's gonna sync between those.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
