Hi all, My ionic syncs to my phone but won't sync activities to Strava. They are connected, I've disconnected and reconnected them and switched both on and off. It gives the correct number of steps including what I did in the run but it just won't upload the activity

Can Fitbit Support, oficially comment and confirm it? As we are all who facing this issue, trying to figure out what is going on.

Looks like it's not a permanent issue, but certainly an issue that's being "looked into".

I hope it is not permanent,  else it is bye Fitbit and hello Garmin.  I think like everyone, all of us cant help but be disappointed with Fitbit on this.  The best they could do is help to us understand what they are doing to fix this.

I too was told by Fitbit online support that the Strava app is no longer supported. However i have just had a messaged back from Fitbit support on Twitter and they tell me that there was some confusion of information given on my previous Fitbit online support chat.

I have quoted below my official Twitter Fitbit Support responses:

"Got it. We're able to locate your case and apologies for the confusion. The current issue is being investigated by our team. What the agent is referring, is the Strava app on your watch itself. It was already removed from the App Gallery. If you have a Strava app installed in your watch, you can still use it. But if you delete it, you won't be able to install it again. Your Fitbit account is still connected to the Strava account. Once the current issue is resolved, you should still be able to sync your GPS activities to Strava. Keep an eye for the latest updates in order to get the quickest resolution possible. https://status.strava.com/ Have an awesome day!"

Fingers crossed the issue will be resolved soon!

I contacted Fitbit helpdesk via chat for a separate issue and mentioned was having Strava issues. The response was:

"I want you to know that a couple of weeks ago Strava stops been supported with the Fitbit app. Although is possible it works it might cause issues with the app like overwriting information. Therefore I want to share with you all the other apps that are currently supported with the app: https://www.fitbit.com/us/technology/partnership"

At the time of writing I checked the link and Strava was still prominently positioned as a compatible app. I pointed this out and asked if Fitbit/Strava were no longer going to support one another moving forward or whether this was a temporary glitch?  The helpdesk replied:

"This issue has been reported as Strava is not longer supported with the Fitbit app. The most probable thing is that an update will make both apps to be compatible again, nonetheless since I haven't that information, I cannot assure that it will (Either way the pressure in our community helps). So if more people join to comment and vote requesting the app again it's more likely the incompatibility becomes temporary."

I mentioned the communications needed to be clearer, helpdesk said:

"Indeed, this issue has been for a couple of weeks now but yesterday we started receiving a huge quantity of user having similar issues. I do appreciate your understanding and feedback, and I'll make sure make it visible for our team."
