Fitbit Charge 2 not syncing with MyFitnessPall app

I got a fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas and it won't sync steps with the myftinesspal app.

Its working fine according to the fitbit app and logging my steps, sleep, you name it. But for some reason it jsut won't show up on the Myfitnesspal app even though it is chosen as my step counter. 

I could put my steps in manually as someone mentioned before but i don't see why it won't work.
