Fitbit Full Day Projection Impossibly High

I have an issue with the calories being sent to myfitnesspal being too high. When I click into my exercise log for yesterday, I am awarded 679 extra calories from Fitbit. If I go into the breakdown of the Calorie Adjustment within MyFitnessPal, it has my "Full Day Projection" for yesterday at 2,726 based on 2,231 calories burned as of 23:11. I'm not sure how it expects me to burn about 500 calories, 15 minutes before midnight, while I'm in bed sleeping.

If I go into my Fitbit app, it has my full total calories burned yesterday 2,282, so much more reasonable. Is there any way to correct his huge discrepancy between the Full Day Projection and the actual burn. I would think it should be pretty accurate by 11 at night, and should be 100% accurate looking back from the following day.

A warm welcome to the Community @pantofle. Thanks for the details mentioned.

MyFitnessPal pulls your calorie burn directly from our total daily calorie App Gallery partners. Since partner devices track minute to minute, and our program views the entire day as a whole, we then project forward to the end of the day based on your calorie burn so far. When viewing your adjustment, you should see a number directly under the partner, which represents the instant sync, and a number to the right of the partner which represents our projection for the day based on your current sync.

Because the adjustment value is recalculated every time your device uploads new data, you should expect this value to change over the course of the day. It is also necessary to make sure your partner device and MyFitnessPal are set to the same time zones (time zones can be updated in the main settings). At midnight, the projected sync and your actual sync should then match exactly. Depending on when you last sync, there may be a slight variation between one day and the next as the two values catch up to each other.
