Fitbit, MyFitnessPal and Strava causing duplicate exercise

Hi,

I recently synced my Fitbit, MyFitnessPal and Strava accounts together, I have an issue now where exercise is being track twice once from the Fitbit logging itself and then another sync coming from MyFitnessPal which has the data from Strava.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you solve it, before I unlink the accounts?

Thanks,

Hello @Noelf21, good to see you've joined to the Fitbit Community. I've seen this issue before so let me step in and give you the help you need.

When you integrate different applications to your Fitbit account, be careful with integrate those applications between each other too. In this case I'm sure you have connected Strava with MFP too and both of these third party apps are connected to your Fitbit account.

Here is the issue, Fitbit will track your exercise and will be share to MFP and Strava, but if you connect strava to MFP, these two will share information too, creating on MFP an exercise entry coming from Strava. By consequence  due to MFP is connected to your Fitbit account this will transfer the same information back to your exercise history on your Fitbit account containing the data from Strava. Imagine this as loop of information, that is going from your Fitbit account to Strava and from Strava to MFP and back to your Fitbit exercise causing a duplicate entry.

The solution of this is to remove the integration between your Strava and MFP account to avoid this loop of data.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need additional help.
