Fitbit & HealthVault stopped syncing?

Looks like FitBit synced with Healthvault up til March 20th of this year.  But stopped syncing.  I disconnected fitbit and healthvault - but when I went to reconnect it - its no longer listed as a partner?  What happened? and how do we get that back?  I"ve been syncing everything for the past 3 or 4 years so I'd like to continue to sync with HealthVault.

"Hello,

We’re reaching out because we noticed your Fitbit account is integrated with Microsoft HealthVault.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to end our support of Microsoft HealthVault. As of September 12, Fitbit will no longer send data to HealthVault. You’ll still have access to your previously synced data through the Fitbit dashboard.

Rest assured we’re always looking for new ways to support your health and fitness goals, and we encourage you to visit fitbit.com/partnership for other integrations. Please let us know if you have any questions at contact.fitbit.com

I can confirm the above is true; we are in the process of ending support of the Microsoft HealthVault integration. All your historical data will still be accessible through HealthVault and the Fitbit dashboard. I highly recommend visiting our compatible apps page to explore alternate options that might help you with your health and fitness goals.

I'd like to know as well. Mine hadn't sync'd since the 10th of this month, then on the 22nd, it updated, and hasn't updated again since.

Has anyone gotten anywhere with this? Fitbit and healthvault are connected under fitbit sharing (not an app) but hasn't synced for me since initial pairing in February. I've disconnected and reconnected but that hasn't helped. I was hoping to use healthvault since I have the Band 2 and it does have a lot of potential. I'm hoping to not have to manually enter things everyday.

Hello @Fadelight and welcome aboard to @Kristophr@nrfitchett4. Sorry for the late response to some of you. If is not syncing your information with HealthVault, the first recommendation is to remove the association with your Fitbit account.

To do this is require to go to your Fitbit Dashboard and look for the Sharing section. right at the bottom of the page you should see the option to un-link the accounts. Note this doesn't work as other app integrations.

Once this is done, go back to the same page and this link will change now to "Link your HealthVault record". Select this option and follow the steps to complete the process. Now should be there another option to post up to 30 days of historical data. Click here and your information will sync.

If the issue persist, please take a moment to reach out to our Support Team and let them know of your efforts to troubleshoot the issue and what you've already done. They will be happy to help you to resolve this issue.

Hope this helps and see ya around fellows.

I also want to link my FitBit data to my HealthVault account.  Under Settings->Sharing all I se is the option to share on Twitter...

Any ideas how I can access the HealthVault option?

Best Answer

I dont have these buttons at the bottom of my page in Edge or IE 11. I'm not having any luck reconnecting.

@RobertoME Once unlinked, I (like others) dont see the option to re-link at the bottom of that page. Please can you check that this is still a supported feature or do we all have some sort of problem that others don't?

Missing "Link to Healthvault" Option

When I go to settings>sharing the only option is to add Twitter.  I don't see partners

the Last record I had on HealthVault was on 7/9/2016.  I took for granted that it was working, since it had in the past.  But, when I went to the doctor's office to discuss my weight goals, etc.  I noticed no data, weight, food, excercise, NOTHING was being fed to HealthVault.

HealthVault webpage said I had to relink the accounts.  Easy I said.  But, FitBit no longer has a Link button on the HealthVault area.  It's this endless loop, of get more information, that links back to the linking page, that links back to the get more information page.

I can link to Twitter it seems, but no longer to HealthVault.

I absolutely NEED a link to HealthVault.

+1 on the issue; trying to sync Aria scale measurements. My last successful sync was on June 6. I've somewhat worked around things by exporting FitBit data to CSV and then importing it to HealthVault, but that only imports weight measurements and not body composition values.

RobertoFitbit or other mods, any news or ETA on a fix? I filed a support request yesterday; will keep an eye out for a response / request for more info.

And the response to my support request is:

"After careful consideration, we’ve decided to end our support of Microsoft HealthVault. This is why you no longer have the option to use this integration. If you previously used HealthVault, you’ll still have access to any synced data through the Fitbit dashboard."

So two responses I can give.

[/me puts on Microsoft hat]

Those interested in a scale that integrates with Microsoft HealthVault can log on to HealthVault, go to the Apps & devices section and click on Apps & Device Directory for a list of alternative devices you can consider.

[/me takes off Microsoft hat, puts on personal hat]

And here's what I've personally done to mitigate: I ordered a different scale - it arrives Friday.

Looks like there isn't a direct way to reset this Aria back to factory / clear my information. Do I need to set up some dummy account and junk wi-fi network to "clear" this?

Aaron

Thanks for the update Aaron.  That sucks big time.

What scales did you end up buying?

Appreciate the question, however personally feel it'd be bad form to start steering people to a particular device not from FitBit in a FitBit forum. I also have a feeling the ToS would frown upon it as well given it could be argued I'd be promoting a device that links to a service from my employer/Microsoft ("promoting/advertising a commercial service") even when posting personally.

I have an aria scale and I use a MS band 2...so I am a Fitbit customer....now I feel like they tell me to go to hell. Nice way to treat your customers Fitbit!

Maybe they have a fight with MS and are acting like a little child?
