Does Fitbit sync with Lose it?  I hate to pay Lose it $40/year to do it the other way.

You unfortunately must have premium loseit in order to loseit to connect at all with your fitbit account. They changed it a few months ago.

Have you become a premium member at Lose It? Is it worth it in your opinion?

How seamless is the fitbit/lose it integration?

Thanks!

You can compare the options at http://www.loseit.com/premium/

For me, I track food on loseit, so I like being able to monitor my sodium intake and other food easily with loseit. If you like the loseit interface, and you like their food database, you might want to consider premium. I was offered an "introductory" rate when they first launched it, and the going price is now double what I pay...so it's a bit of a hard sell IMO. I use loseit and like the added nutrient breakdowns I get with premium, but I don't think I would pay $40 just to sync with fitbit.

My fitbit and loseit accounts sync every 30 minutes or so. Only had a problem one time, disconnecting and reconnecting solved it. I prefer loseit to fitbit for barcode scanning and the food database.

Thanks Collin. I will check it out a bit more. I'm thinking of just paying for premium as a gift to me!

It's definately a good incentive. 🙂

I would send loseit an email and ask them if they have any discounts or promotions for the new year going on. 🙂

I got my Force two days ago and have been unable to sync Fitbit with Lose It! premium.  I notified Lose It! customer service and received a response indicating that they can't sync right now and they don't have an ETA for corrective action.  I'm willing to pay the $40 for synching privileges, because I've been using Lose It! for years and have a big food database set up (and FitBit's food log interface is really lacking), and I think I've already used $40 worth of Lose It!'s functionality.

Anyway, beware right now as things don't seem to be working well between FitBit and Lose It! as of 01-23-14.

Lose It! has corrected the issue and my Force now synchs.
