Fitbit and MFP food and exercise customize settings for synch...help

Hi all.

New to FitBit and loving it.  However, I disconnected it from MyFitnessPal because it kept adding back my exercise calories burned to MFP. I can see how this would be useful for some, but I am doing IIFYM and using exercise for caloric deficit. I follow MFP to track calories and don't want calories burned added back to my caloric alottment.  However, I do want the food I log in MFP to synch with Fitbit.  Anyone know of a way to adjust this in the settings?

I have searched online for a solution but have found most people want the exercise info to transfer to MFP.  I have also looked around in the setting of both apps/settings but can't find a way to make it work for me.

All my thanks!

In MFP, under settings, there is a Steps menu. Maybe you can just deselect the Fitbit Tracker under there and that will allow them to communicate, but not add steps?

Not sure if this will work, but it's worth a shot!
